Tap to reveal. Right-click, long-press, or Flag mode to plant a flag. First tap is always safe.
💣 How to play Minesweeper
Uncover every safe square without detonating a single hidden mine. Clear the whole board to win — and race the clock for your best time!
- Reveal a square by tapping or left-clicking it — your very first tap is always safe.
- Read the numbers: each one counts the mines touching that square. Empty squares cascade open automatically.
- Flag suspected mines with a right-click, a long-press on touch, or by switching on Flag mode and tapping.
- Pick Easy or Medium, then hit New Game to start fresh.
💡 Stuck? When a number equals the flags around it, every other neighbour is guaranteed safe to open.
📜 Did you know? In 2000, mathematician Richard Kaye proved that Minesweeper is NP-complete — solving big boards is as hard as computing's toughest problems.
