Tap a card to pick it up, then tap where it should go. Double-tap to send a card home.
🃏 How to play FreeCell
Move all 52 cards onto the four foundations, each built up by suit from Ace to King. Almost every deal is winnable — with care, no luck required.
- Move a card by tapping it (or click on desktop) to pick it up, then tapping its destination; a valid descending, alternating-colour run travels together if you have room.
- Build down the cascades in alternating colours (red on black, black on red); any single card can fill an empty column or a free cell.
- Send home with a double-tap (or double-click), or use Auto-Home to sweep every card that fits onto its foundation.
💡 Empty columns and empty free cells multiply how many cards you can shift at once — clear a column early and keep the cells free for the big moves.
📜 Did you know? FreeCell was written by Paul Alfille for the PLATO system in 1978, and Jim Horne's Windows version (bundled from 1995) shipped 32,000 numbered deals — of which only deal #11982 was later proven unsolvable.
